Does my dresser need to be attached to the wall?

If there are kids present in the home, then we do recommend that the dresser be attached to the wall. The reason being is that the dresser can be climbed on with the drawers open. This can result in the dresser tipping over and severely injuring kids.

New dressers usually come with hardware to secure the dresser to the wall. If you have an existing or used dresser, then you can purchase a furniture wal anchor kit from your local home improvement store.
