Window Curtains Installation
How high should curtains be above the floor?
This will vary depending upon who you ask. We typically install curtains so that they are not touching the floor. That way you can vacuum or sweep under them, without risking them getting sucked into the vacuum or picking up dust from the floor.
Are drywall anchors necessary to hang curtains?
No, they are not. Usually there are studs located on both sides of a window. With the correct length of screw, the curtains can be attached directly into the studs and no drywall anchors have to be used.
My curtains have wrinkles in them and it says they are not ironable. How do I get the wrinkles out?
Read the care label on the curtains to see what it says about ironing or drying them. If it says that the curtains are not ironable, then place them in the dryer for about 5 to 10 minutes on low or medium heat. Curtains that have metal rings or hooks will be hot when they come out of the dryer, so be carefull handling them.
I work the night shift and sleep during the day. The daylight wakes me up. What can I do about it?
We recommend installing blackout curtains. This style of curtains are thicker and block out the majority of daylight that comes through. If necessary, you can consider installing double blackout curtains.
