Which version of Linux is the best to use?
There is no best version. Each flavor of Linux has pros and cons to it. There are light weight versions of Linux that can be used on older hardware as well as paid versions of Linux that is used for commercial uses.
Since most Linux versions are free, we recommend that you install them on a virtual machine or container and explore whether they would be a good fit for your needs.
